Well, I'm in Sydney airport now, waiting to board my flight home!  2 weeks left of school term then a summer of fun!  Hoping to start uploading some new stuff as soon as the school year is over.  I will be putting some photoshoot stuff up on my spritely photography DA page as well so for those of you that folkish my non- kawaii work then there will be prettyful things for you to look at too.  Website will be undergoing a makeover real soon, I have been working on new pages while I have been away !

Ok, so recently I've had to take some time to breathe....
I've been teaching full-time ever since qualifying as a teacher last August and I've just secured a job for September teaching TEXTILES!!!
I had a nice weekend at MCM in May but I have to say I didn't enjoy it as much as previous shows, mostly due to the stress of exams and reports that were happening in teacher-land at the same time.  

I have had several messages recently about me being 'difficult to get hold of' so here's how things are going to work from now on...

I am going to check my DeviantArt Account every MONDAY and answer messages etc on a MONDAY.
I am going to check my emails daily (as I do anyway) and my KickassPeanut Facebook every MONDAY also.

I am working on a book, but it will  not contain every tiny detail on how I make my plushies so if you are expecting that then you will be disappointed.
I am hoping to start using Swap-Bot again soon, I haven't had the time or money for swap packages recently but am anxious to set up some classroom exchange projects at my new school.
I'm also doing a LOT more with horses than I ever anticipated, I ride 3 lovely geldings for a friend and it has given me a renewed feeling of inspiration and freedom that I hope will come through in my work.
I am working on some new designs (some I discussed with people at MCM that you are all going to love!!!)

I will be leaving this friday for 2 weeks in Australia with family and then I fully intend to throw myself head-on into design work over the summer- after all I really want to make a good impression at my new school!!!

Hi all, just a brief not to say that commissions are currently CLOSED except for those that I am working through at the moment.

Hi, just to let you all know that I am away from home at the moment and am not checking my Deviantart regularly, PLEASE send me an email at hannahbt85@hotmail.com if anything is urgent as I am not reading notes and things on here, also your deviantart names do not match up with your emails and Paypal details which confuses the hell outta me when trying to collate reposnses.

I am aware that there has been another bungle with the postage, from what I can see the american parcels got the english postage labels things stuck on them and vice versa so the english ones are in mid air and the american ones are without custom slips and sufficient postage and are grounded in a depot somewhere.  I have replaced 2 and am working on tracking down/replacing the others.  

AMECON next week is a bit of a disater because Sean was supposed to be coming with me but was given shifts so I am currently working out a back-up plan!!!

I will update everythign when I tougch the ground again on Monday

So I have been totally side-tracked recently by the return of my beloved pony Archie,(He's not MINE parsay...I used to have him on loan 7 years ago and gave him back when I went away to University)  

I have a dreadful head-cold that came on overnight yet I still rode him in the drizzle and wind today to try out the new costume I made for us both! *NUTTER*

I have HUNDREDS of photographs from Jousting at Provins, Jousting at Cardiff Castle and me ATTEMPTING Jousting on Archie but I doubt you all want to see those.....

In other news....

I completed my PGCE course on the 25th of June (and have passed un-officially)
I finished in school on June 24th but was so sad to leave that I'm going back to help out next week and possibly in September too!
After finishing all the paper-signing and hugging at University, my family and I drove to Dover and hopped the ferry to France for a week.  I have never been to France before and I absolutely LOVED it!  Provins was the BEST, and DISNEYLAND too! (I got a bit bored and hot in Paris... it was a SWELTERING week!)

And now I'm home working on a Jousting/Knight costume for Archie because I think Exmoor Ponies can do it too!!!

I posted a load of Xbox orders before leaving and I have had emails to say they have arrived in the most part, however I'm still waiting for news from a few people so if you have/haven't had yours yet please email me as I have spares ready but am not releasing them to my shop until previous orders are completed.

Okay peeps, this is going to be a relatively LONG update....I'll break it up into sections to make it easier on you!

Okay enough updates about expos and shows.....
I'm nearly finished my PGCE, I just have to hand in my portfolio to go with all the practical work I just dropped off by Friday and survive 2 and 1/2 more weeks at my wonderful placement!  Currently looking for teaching posts in Wales (Textiles preferably, but not adverse to graphics or RMT).


I will be Re-opening commissions as of Monday the 14th June- Can someone please make me a flashing pair of stamps one saying 'commissions open' and another saying 'commissions closed' ?  I don't even know where to start!


I have a backlog of a few commission requests to get done first and a jewelery wholesale order from the expo but I should be able to fit in 2/3 commissions a week depending on their complexity and if I have materials ready.  For commissions I need an EMAIL OR NOTE with your ADDRESS (for postage costs), the item you're after with pictures or drawings to support it (unless you want me to use my artistic liscence) and an Idea of the size you want.  (if you have a budget please include this too so I can let you know if what you want is possible or not)
I do have the right to refuse any commission for whatever reason.  PLEASE DON'T ASK ME FOR CHIBI, ANIME, GAME CHARACTER, PEOPLE, FURSONA, plushies- they are not my cup of tea!  Please allow up to 14 days for commissions to be completed (not including postage) if I have to make something to your request- I'd rather get it just right!  (large commissions will require a deposit for material costs incase you change your mind after I have bought things)


RIGHT, what was next on my list.....Updating my website....I'm working on adding the new stuff I've been making and the leftovers from MCM to my shop as well as changing details in the comments sections of my deviations (taking some time 500+ devs is a lot to work through!)

OMG! I arrived home late last night from Parents' evening at school and went to bed pretty much straight away....When I woke up early this morning I saw my little wooden pencil toppers on the DD page!!! WOWEE! Thankyou so much to those of you who suggested it and Myntcat for featuring it!!!

This goes out to everyone who has informed me of a company using my plushie xbox as advertising for a game testing company.  I HAVE GIVEN NO CONSENT WHATSOEVER FOR THIS TO HAPPEN!  I appreciate the hundreds of messages about this and I have no legal representation, advice or any idea how to stop this.  Anyone who can help, please get in touch but other than that no more links to images please, I know it's all over bebo, facebook, twitter, myspace...and almost everywhere else but I keep coming up blank when I try and find an email address or a person to talk to.

I'm not taking any commissions as I have a lot on with designing projects for school as well as the briefs we have been set for our portfolios so it's basically a case of checking back to my shop regularly to see what I have available.

I will be doing some work on my website soon to split in half- to incorporate my 'magical forest design' label into it too...it will have like a 'doorway' so you can choose which site to enter and which shop to go to etc.  As that is time consuming it will take a while to get finished so bear with me.(just did a web-design short course to help me improve it)

I am reading through all the messages I get but please don't think me rude if I don't get around to commenting back to everyone, I just have a HUGE amount of things going on all at once. (can sleep when I'm dead, right?)  I will try and keep better updates on my progress in teaching and stock-making towards the May MCM expo (Booked 2 tables!) and AYACON (Booking a table- discussing it with organisers now)

I am unsure how the ama/aya con thing is going, I have expressed an interest but right now they are just taking names and allocating spaces...personally I don't think it's going to happen for me as they are not as well organised  as MCM and from what I gather I'm going to have to pay £45 per person to get into the convention AS WELL as dealer passes....otherwise I'll be limited to the dealer room only which is lame.

On a sour note- I have noticed a few 'kickass-peanut wannabees' replicating some of my plushies and not giving credit....this gets my goat!  Please report any you see to DA, but please don't notify me of them too much as it upsets me to see them.
